Awesome machine that is transforming our family's diet!
By Stacy G. on Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2014
I first thought of buying some sort of spiralizing apparatus because my sister has one and uses it a lot as part of a paleo diet. I've been looking for ways to get more vegetables into our family's diet, and since I'm gluten free, I sometimes miss eating pasta. I looked up many brands and styles, and found far too many critical reviews, so I was starting to think I might never find one of good quality. Eventually, I found this Spiralizer slicer, and decided to take the plunge -- and I'm so glad I did! It arrived quickly and in good shape and I put it to use right away, making zucchini "pasta". It seems very solidly made -- the body is entirely of plastic (all except the very sharp blades and the screws holding the suction cups), but quite heavy duty, and I like that there are not a lot of metal parts to rust. It is incredibly easy to use, and it's fun to experiment with the three different blades, each of which creates a different shape and thickness of spiralized veggie. It was also super easy to clean afterwards -- just a quick rinse in soapy water. The company sent two sets of great recipes for it, too, and the ones I've tried have been delicious. The only minor issue was that it arrived with one of the little suction cups torn off, but it also came with four extra suction cups, so no problem! It seems they've really thought this thing through. For full disclosure, I should say that the machine arrived with a note saying that if I called them with my comments, they would send me another Sprializer free of charge! When I called, they were very nice and personal (this was on a weekend!), and they asked if I would be willing to post a review, but are sending me the second Spiralizer regardless of whether I do so. (It should be arriving next week, and I plan to give it as a gift.) I was already planning on posting a positive review, since I'm extremely happy with my Spiralizer, so the extra one is just a very nice bonus. I haven't had the Spiralizer for long, so can't attest to its long term durability, but so far it seems great, and it even comes with a lifetime warranty. Judging by how responsive the company has been so far, I expect that I would have no trouble replacing the Spiralizer if anything should go wrong with it. A lifetime warranty seems like they really stand behind their product. All in all, I'm thrilled with my Spiralizer, and am happy to be incorporating more veggies into our diet.

So Far... Just OK.
By FaithOryx on Reviewed in the United States on April 20, 2015
I just got my Spiralizer in and I'm going to write my preliminary thoughts then visit in a few weeks and update after some more trial and error. After under a week of use: Pros: *Easy to assemble (basically came assembled) with easy-to-read instructions. The Amazon sales page basically has the one sheet instructions on it. Comes apart easily. *Easy to clean. THOUGH I had a rough long-handled brush that I use for my juicer and I had to use that to clean the blades. Not sure what you would do otherwise. Rough sponge? Cons: *The suction feet only work OK on my counter top. The device does stick, but it does slide. Very annoying. Because you are using hand force, it causes it to move above. Experimented with different methods to get it to stick more. So far I found that a dry counter, but a tiny bit of water on the cups helps them to stick better. *This thing works great on long skinny veggies like yellow squash, zucchini and cucumber. Experimenting with other items I didn't get the same success. I tried a lemon and a red onion and both were wonky on all three blade settings. I'm going to keep experimenting with different items and blades and see what happens. OVERALL So far this is just OK. I'm not sure it was worth $30.00... I'm going to work with it a bit longer. I do like that it spiralizes long veggies so well, fast and with easy cleanup. But the sliding device is really a bummer and I feel like it's limited to just one type of veggie, at least so far. ONE YEAR LATER: I still like this spiralizer but my review would not change. Despite experimenting with this repeatedly, it only successfully spiralizes certain veggies. You can choose from anything long and rounded - so zucchini, cucumber, yellow squash, a very large carrot. It does not do other veggies well. It still cleans well and assembles easy. It still slides around the counter a bit. I've moved in the last year and I can say that it worked better on my plain jane countertops than my new granite ones. Overall a solid product for what it's for. But still not sure it was worth the price I paid for its limited range. I had a hand spiralizer that did the same veggies for a third of the price and took up less space. I thought this one would do more complicated veggies. TWO YEARS LATER: This device ended up in a box in my garage because it takes up a lot of space and I found myself using the little one more. I ended up buying another, handheld one that was smaller because I can grab it from my tool drawer and it doesn't compete with precious cabinet space. However, I made a large batch of noodles the other day and commented to myself that the spiralizer is better for large-scale jobs. So when deciding on this item, consider how much noodle you need at any given time. If you are making large batches, this spiralizer is a lot easier to use for making noodles. If you are making enough for one or two people per meal, than a handheld one is just fine.
