This toothpaste cleared out 5 small 50 yr. old cavities from childhood, they are simply gone!
By Barb on Reviewed in the United States on September 9, 2025
This is an incredible toothpaste, the most noticeable result is that I had 5 pin head sized cavities from early childhood, and they are miraculously totally gone. The one cavity was actually the size of 2/3 pin heads and had recently increased in size. I am amazed the cavities were with me for around 50 years...but no more, how is this possible I do not know. I routinely check my teeth, roof of mouth, tongue and gums so I am totally aware of this change. I had only used the paste for a few weeks it had a pleasant taste, scent and thickness and it also removed old dingy sealant that I no longer needed on my molars that was used as an early precaution only. I could not be happier...this is so great! I can't wait for my dentist who said that the tooth with the larger cavity in it and dingy sealer needed a filling to actually see lol that that cavity is no longer with me. I am also glad that the older sealer is fading since it turned an odd pinkish color and I am not so sure if I had tried to explain to the dentist what it actually was, she would have believed me. I actually had deep recesses in my back two molars, and a past dentist sealed them to prevent cavities since I already had the five small ones from childhood. I really like this toothpaste I had been using pronamel products, but this paste does things that line is not capable of. This paste cleared away old cavities, cleaned out old unhealthy-looking sealant, whitened teeth, improved gum health and guarded against sensitivity. I do try to live a clean life and have no concerns with the nano particles and feel the paste is made with natural products that are designed for oral care. The consumer has the choice really to spit out the excess and or rinse if they really feel compelled too, I believe you will still see results and have benefits from this paste. Thank you for a great product I did not even know I needed.

I'm Sticking with APAGARD...
By L 2dr on Reviewed in the United States on October 13, 2024
Some backstory: I've used APAGARD Premio toothpaste (found on Amazon; made in Japan) for many years now. It costs about $15-$16 per tube which gets a little pricey. But several years ago, I had read raving reviews about how much it helped people who suffered with tooth sensitivity, and how the magical ingredient nano-hydroxyapatite in it was very effective in remineralizing teeth. At that time, I was looking for a toothpaste that could do those things and that could also improve the appearance of some of my teeth which had begun looking more translucent/transparent. (FYI: Teeth translucency is caused by enamel erosion due to things like using whitening strips, eating/drinking a lot of acidic foods, etc.) Anyway, APAGARD achieved all of the goals I was looking for in a toothpaste! My super-sensitive teeth became less sensitive, and brushing my teeth no longer bothered me. What's more, because Apagard was able to effectively remineralize my teeth, it also helped to make them look whiter and brighter. Even still, the icing on the cake was that after I began using it faithfully, I no longer had any cavities! (And let's be clear: my diet was *NOT* good.) Needless to say, when I went to the dentist and heard that news, I was both shocked and delighted! Thus, I was very happy with Apagard on all fronts -- except, of course, for the price. And being that toothpaste is a repeat purchase for me multiple times a year, I thought I'd go on a little search for a cheaper option that still had nano-hydroxyapatite in it and that could achieve similar results. That's where Boka toothpaste walks in. I came across the Boka Nano-Hydroxyapatite Fluoride Free Toothpaste on Amazon and noticed it had generally positive reviews. Since it was a few dollars cheaper than Apagard, I thought I'd give it a try. I used it for several weeks and really wanted to like it. However, I noticed that my teeth had become increasingly sensitive over the past few weeks and couldn't figure out why. Then I remembered I had switched my toothpaste. As soon as I recognized what the likely culprit was, I went back on Amazon and reordered my usual Apagard Premio. Sure enough, within just a few uses, my teeth sensitivity went away. Now, I will say that the Boka toothpaste did leave my teeth feeling clean. To its credit, it also has a refreshing, light minty taste to it and foams well. But, in the end, these positives aren't enough to make an ongoing customer out of me. At this point, I'll probably stick with the Apagard toothpaste for life. Although it is a bit on the pricier side, when considering all of its benefits, truthfully: it's well worth it.
