This has already been a hard September. There’s a crisis in China, a crisis in Europe, and I can’t help but feel there’s a crisis forming in America as well. I’m tense a lot, even though I have no reason to be. What can I do to worry less? How can I believe things will get good again?

Hello friend! It can be really hard to remain positive when the world feels so very cruel. Oversimplifying- we are able to choose our reaction to external stressors. That’s not always easy to do, obviously.
So what SHOULD you do? Make a difference in things you can, but don’t stress out when that’s can't be everything you want to. Can you afford to donate to a cause you’re passionate about? Do you have the time to spare to volunteer? Or, just take a moment to make someone’s life a little better through a small act of kindness. Beyond that, try doing something you enjoy like drawing or reading, or take a moment to meditate/sit in silence.

Here's my lamentation:
Thanks for the advice on my wasp problem! I ended up getting a wasp trap and… it’s killed about 50 of them. I had no idea there were even that many around, I just wanted the one harassing my hummingbirds to be gone! Now I’m really sad about how many dead wasps are in the trap, should I take it down? What do I even do with the trap now? I’m really grossed out and depressed.
