But November 1991 was a lot different than July 1991 for some reason, and this well-meaning pop wanna-be was Fred's kiss goodbye. Until they pulled him out for the Smurfs movie.
Siouxie & The Banshees - Kiss Them For Me
Siouxie always found a way to make music that was wistful and interesting at the same time. This one pays tribute to Jayne Mansfield. Sort of a kiss to the past that turned into a kiss to the future, since this song still sounds pretty modern. All it needs is a little auto-tune to be current!

That first kiss is always kinda sweet. Will it work? Is it a mistake? No matter how old you are, kissing someone for the first time can still send you back to junior high and make you somehow want to run and tell all your friends down at the treehouse. Sweet as this song.
