I remember being a little kid and getting scared by Alice Cooper. Isn't that incredible. Today this record seems practically all-american when compared to some of the other stuff out there. And yet... still scary.
Bauhaus was always kinda dark and gothic. This is what vampires would listen to. And what are vampires? That's right! Scary!

Scott Walker started singing sappy love songs. Then something changed. Imagine if Justin Timberlake suddenly released a witch house record and that's basically what a shock it was when a kid with a great voice moved to, well, things like this. Warning: video is also scary.
This one was written by the woman who's speaking it. It's edgy, and dangerous. Is it empowering? Is it mean to undercut the fear of being trapped by someone else? Is it just meant to be scary? I can't really say the intent. But I do love it. And it is kinda scary.
