Monkey Games 2012: THE FINAL RESULTS

by Scott Lydon

We sometimes deserve your scorn. We sometimes deserve your shame. But never let it be said we don't deliver eventually. For the last six months, our team of judges have been quietly deliberating beside a heated swimming pool in a five star hotel with an open bar and all the amenities paid for by us… in fact, now that we're thinking about it, maybe that's the reason why it took so long for them to come to a consensus!

But regardless, they've finally made their pick, and after the jump you'll find the final results plus our Torch Contest winners. Relive the excitement! Get some closure! See you inside?

Monkey Games 2012: The Beginning Of The End

by Scott Lydon

Okay, okay, okay, we know. Due to reasons beyond our control, the results have been delayed by the judges. We can only assume they're holding out for better seats at the 2013 Monkey Games. Anyway, our public can wait no longer… so we'll let you decide for yourselves! After the jump, you'll be enjoying some fine, fine Monkey Games footage. Praise the heroes, condemn the goats, and make your own assumptions about who the final winner will be! We'll have the final results along with the winner of the torch contest as soon as we humanly can. See you inside?

The Monkey Games 2012: Wootier, Goofier, Monkier

by Jason Toon

Once a year, the greatest "athletes" on the Woot staff come together to "compete" in the kinds of "sports" that require "ironic quotation marks". How can you play your part? First, meet the teams below and pick one to root for, for some arbitrary reason. Why should you care about our internal company games? Well, you probably don't personally know any of the athletes competing in London either...

Monkey Games 2012: Show Us Your Torch

by Jason Toon

Are you following all the Monkey Games 2012 action? Of course you are! Are you wondering how you can make your mark on the greatest sporting festival in our entire office park? Darn right you are! Do you want your own cheap plastic inflatable torch? We have no idea.

But if so, that torch is just a torch away! A torch you make, you mean. For that second one in the first sentence of this paragraph. What we're trying to say is:

Make a Monkey Games torch. Post it in the discussion thread below. Our favorite will win an inflatable torch.

Don't be intimidated by the examples in these photos. These torches were made by highly trained Woot professionals avoiding the jobs they were highly trained to do. We don't expect a lowly civilian like you to meet this impossibly high standard. Just post a photo of yours below and we promise we'll try really hard not to think less of you for it, no matter how lousy it is. Because that's the Monkey Games spirit.
