White Vinegar gets rid of any white excess after Aqua Mix treatment
By Orange on Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2025
I applied one generous coat Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold (Rapid Cure Formular). I really worked it into the grout with a paint brush and with a foam paint roller onto our kitchen floor stone tile. I had two windows open during the entire time. I wiped off any excess of the sealer but apparently not well enough. The next day there was visible white residue on all the floor tiles which didn't look pretty at all. First, I tried to get it off with soapy water - it wouldn't work. Then, I tried a few other things, nothing worked. Finally, I applied some White Vinegar (undiluted) and it easily removed the white residue! If you have the same issue, be careful: a) don't pour the vinegar directly onto the tile. It will create a vinegar stain and remove all your good work on just that spot - even if you spread out the vinegar over the rest of that stone tile right away. b) After doing that mistake twice, I put the White Vinegar onto a folded cloth diaper and carefully wiped over the tile (not the grout) 1-2x . I didn't wipe any more because I didn't want to remove the entire sealer. And it worked! All the excess white residue is gone and there is still sealer on my tiles and grout. I tested it by pouring some water onto the stone tiles and grout (various spots) and saw that round water drops were forming. So the sealer is working. Additional note: I thoroughly cleaned all the stone tiles and grout with a Karcher Steam Cleaner (Multi Purpose) before I applied the Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold. That steam cleaner really removes the dirt.

Mixed Results: Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold Shower Grout Sealer Review
By John Bismark on Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2023
I recently used the Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold shower grout sealer in an attempt to protect my shower grout from dirt and mildew buildup. While the product did an adequate job in preventing some dirt and mildew accumulation, it fell short in certain aspects, leading to a mixed experience. Despite the quick water-ready time compared to its competitors, I found that achieving barely satisfactory water beading required 5 coats, which became frustrating. While I haven't found a better alternative yet, I must admit that this product did not fully meet my expectations. One of the positive aspects of the Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold is its quick water-ready time, allowing for a faster sealing process compared to some competing products. This feature is convenient, especially for those who prefer to complete their projects in a shorter time frame. It allows for quicker use of the shower area after sealing, reducing inconvenience and downtime. Considering my experience with the Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold, I am inclined to give it a lower rating. However, I have yet to come across a better alternative that provides superior performance in preventing dirt and mildew buildup on shower grout. This leaves me in a somewhat difficult position, as this product might be the best option available on the market currently. In conclusion, the Aqua Mix Sealer's Choice Gold shower grout sealer demonstrated average effectiveness in preventing dirt and mildew accumulation. While it offers the advantage of a quick water-ready time, it fell short in achieving satisfactory water beading and required multiple coats to achieve decent results. While I haven't found a better alternative yet, I remain hopeful that there are more effective grout sealers available.
