If you want a cat litter that really handles odors and clumps well, Fresh Step with Febreze Gain is a solid choice. It keeps things smelling fresh and makes cleanup easy. Just a heads-up—the scent is pretty strong, so it’s great if you like that fresh laundry smell. Works especially well if you’ve got more than one cat.

Overall, not a bad litter — but there are better options out there. The artificial fragrances might seem pleasant to you, but they’re probably not great for your pet. In my case, and not necessarily from this litter alone, my cat started showing early signs of asthma. Since then, I’ve stopped using scented litters, air fresheners, and similar products. I get it — you want the litter box to smell nice and not like pee. But honestly, the better solution is just to clean the litter box more often. Wash it regularly instead of covering up odors with heavy perfumes.**
