Partanna Robust Extra Virgin Olive Oil 101 oz.

Firstly, the tin arrived badly packaged, without a bubble wrap; so the container is beat. The date seems to be 2023-24, but it's uncertain. I have been buying Partanna ROBUST oil for a while, exactly for its high polyphenols content, for its quite robust taste, that when you take it in your mouth and swallow it, you feel bitter burning sensation all over your throat, which demonstrates high quality, and it is medicinal in that way. I used to buy it in dark glass bottles, with the press date stamped on the label. This is my first experience with a large tin container, and I tried this oil before tasting my glass bottled Partanna after it. There is no comparison. The tin oil is weak, there is no burning to it, and very little bitterness, characteristic of this type of oil. I was sold on the sale price for a large amount, but not sure it's worth it. I may keep and use it, but will continue to buy the glass bottled type, with the press date on. The tin oil is distributed by NY or NJ traders, and my guess is that this oil is transported differently and then poured in tins; perhaps it has been exposed to light. I don't know. But the tin Partanna is not the same as the glass bottled one.
