The official passport to the land of Proper Coffee Nerds
By SignalNomad on Reviewed in the United States on April 28, 2025
If you’re serious about pour-over coffee — and I mean serious, like weighing your beans to the tenth of a gram while whispering small affirmations to your kettle — these are non-negotiable. The Hario V60 Size 02 paper filters are the gold standard for brewing that actually honors the work some poor farmer put into growing those beans halfway across the world. Yes, there are cheaper filters. Yes, there are knockoff filters that technically fit. But if you’re chasing that James Hoffmann-approved clarity — that crystal, luminous cup that sings rather than shrieks — these filters are the gatekeepers. Pre-wet them, just like the technique demands, and feel the impurities vanish like your worries almost would if you didn’t still have 45 emails to answer. These filters don’t impart weird flavors, don’t collapse when you blink at them wrong, and they manage flow rate like they were designed by a council of caffeinated elves. Combined with the right grind size and the patience of a monk, these filters can take your humble kitchen and turn it into a cathedral of aroma and liquid joy. I use them religiously with most of my drippers — because when you're traveling (or just battling through life), there’s a sacredness to knowing your coffee is at least one thing you can fully control. Get these filters. Rinse them with the reverence they deserve. Brew with intent. James Hoffmann would approve. Your soul — and your caffeine level — will thank you.

Why layers upon layers of plastic?
By Harper on Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2025
Hey these things are great. They're easy to use, compostable, made specifically for the V60, but why... why are the paper cones in plastic bags with the two sets in a separate plastic bag, and shipped in a plastic Amazon bag?
