Ray-Ban Polarized Classic Wayfarer-Tort.

I have been wearing Ray Ban sun glasses, and reading glasses for over 25 years. I've owned Wayfarer originals, Predator, Predator 2, so I consider myself fairly familiar with the brand. I once had a pair of Predator frames crack on me for no apparent reason. I wrote a letter to Ray Ban and sent the glasses back. I received a new pair. No hassle. Great service. When I picked up the pair I ordered from Amazon, I immediately opened the package. They had been sent to an Amazon locker near me. I noticed the Ray Ban box was somewhat compressed and the corners frayed. An immediate red flag. I opened the box There were smudges on my NEW glasses, a finger print, body/face oil on the nose bridge, on the ear pieces, the front/exterior nose piece was scuffed. They were covered in what appeared to be dust, or dandruff. I also saw hair. to be quite honest, it was disgusting. The glasses had only one plastic sleeve covering the ear piece. I believe there should have been a second for the other side. It DID NOT have a sticker on its left lens, which I have always seen on new glasses. The case also showed signs of wear. Rub marks from where the glasses had rubbed, scuffing the inside. I went back to look at my purchase. Did I order a pair of used or refurbished glasses? Did I miss something? My purchase mentioned nothing about the glasses being used, or refurbished. I would have bought neither. Needless to say, they have been returned. Hopefully someone reads this and I get a new pair of sunglasses upon return. .
