CHI 44 Iron Guard Thermal Protection Spray

I use the regular sized one at home and got this for travel purpose. If I don't apply conditioner after shampoo, my hair becomes dry when using this protectant spray, which is the reason I am taking away a star. Else it serves its purpose just fine. I experimented using it with and without conditioner and also applying oil before washing my hair, there is a significant difference in hair texture when using the spray. It is very dry when I don't use the oil before washing or the conditioner. Ok when I jsut apply oil before wash and perfect when I have conditioner after shampoo. Update: lowering a star because this did not help at all in our Europe trip. For Italy can blame the weather. But still the hair was very frizzy and dry unless I use a conditioner. I will look into other options in future. But does it do the job of protecting the hair. Mostly yes.
