Obagi never disappoints!
By Dia on Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2025
I recently started using the Obagi ELASTIderm Eye Cream, and I have to say, I’m absolutely loving it! This little gem has quickly become a must-have in my skincare routine, and it definitely lives up to the hype. First off, the cream has this amazing, silky texture that just glides on effortlessly. I love how it feels against the delicate skin around my eyes—it's like a little luxury moment for myself! It absorbs quickly, which means I don’t have to wait around before applying my makeup. And the best part? No greasy residue, so my eye area feels fresh and clean. One of the biggest wins for me has been the noticeable reduction in dark circles and puffiness. Seriously—after just a few weeks of using this eye cream, my under-eye area looks so much brighter. I’ve even received compliments, with people asking if I’ve been getting more sleep! (If only they knew the truth.) I also appreciate that it’s formulated to support the skin's elasticity. I've noticed that the skin around my eyes feels firmer, and those pesky fine lines that were starting to make an appearance are looking less pronounced. It’s given me a lot more confidence when I look in the mirror! Another thing that stands out is the packaging. The tube has a handy applicator tip that gives just the right amount of product, which prevents any waste and keeps everything nice and hygienic. It’s such a small detail, but it really makes a difference. As someone with sensitive skin, I was also worried about irritation, but I’m happy to report that this eye cream has been gentle and calming. It’s become a soothing part of my daily routine, and I can use it without any worries. In a nutshell, I can’t recommend the Obagi ELASTIderm Eye Cream enough. It has made such a positive difference in my eye area, tackling dark circles, puffiness, and fine lines with ease. If you're looking for an eye cream that really delivers results and feels like a treat, you’ve got to give this one a try! You won’t regret it!

Update: I've been using this daily/nightly for almost 4 weeks now. I like how the cream feels, but do I notice anything that would make me want to pay $110? Not yet! The results aren't so apparent that I'm ready to open my wallet and pay $110, instead of an eye cream that is less expensive. But it does help the eye area to be moisturized nicely, and it feels wonderful when applying it - as well, there's still no irritation for my sensitive skin. It does make me realize how much I do need a cream specifically for the eye area; however, I will try some less expensive brands that fit my budget, once this is empty. A hint for you as well is that you can use this around your lip area, too. If you are in your 40s/50s, this area needs extra attention as you slip into your later 50s and into your 60s. ----------------- 2.0 stars on the price, which I find ridiculously high. A light, no fragrance, thick blue-tinted cream. I applied a little bit - you don't need much (and good thing since this cream is super expensive!), with the pad of my finger all around my eye area - even a little on the lid. Don't get any of this in your eye - I accidentally dabbed a little in my right eye and it was not pleasant! So don't get in a hurry; take your time and gently pad on the cream. As I applied, the cream felt cooling - it really did feel rather marvelous. Afterward, there wasn't any irritation - and I have sensitive skin. Though it made my skin feel great, when you touch the area where you applied the cream, there's an almost "drying out" feeling to it (update: this went away so either I became used to it or?) though you don't feel a tightening and drying; I believe this is from the effect of the cream doing its thing to tighten the area around the eye. Apparently there is caffeine in it and that may be part of this effect. .5 ounces is more than it sounds like. It's a good bit of cream in the jar (see image). Though, still, $112 (at time of this review) for any eye cream is, as I wrote above, ridiculous. I was tempted to give it 3 stars just because of that, and believe me, if I don't see any results after about 2 weeks of use, then I will be back to update those stars (I did). I did a lot of research on Obagi before writing this reviews. While there are mixed reviews from "professional" skin care websites, the reviews from consumers are nothing short of glowing. People love this stuff and claim that it does wonders for them. So, I can't wait to see if I have the same results - and I will be back to update in about 2 weeks. If you can overlook the price (and I can't, because I'm on a tight budget!), then this may be a cream you want to splurge on - at least according to the reveiws and comments from happy consumers I've found in my research. There are more claims of "this stuff is wonderful and I love it!" than there are negative claims. Apparently, as well, this product line is sold in dermatology offices, which is a positive thing. I did find this eye cream at other stores for near half the price - knock offs? They don't know what they have? I don't know, but it's something to consider. This is really a preliminary review, since it takes several weeks for any "results" to show, so I'll be back to update this review with continued use of this product.
