Mrs. Meyer's Liquid Dish Soap Iowa Pine

I like this brand, and we’ve used their products for years. I ordered three of these larger jugs of hand soap thinking they would be good. I don’t like it. Here’s why. VISCOSITY: This is a very tricky issue. They make this stuff very viscous. That results in a higher perceived quality, implying to the consumer that it is more concentrated, thus goes further. It is not, and it does not. It is surprisingly low-sudsing soap! You need more of it. The second issue with this thicker formula is that is tends to slide off of wet hands. You end up loosing much of what you dispensed because it really is hard to keep in place long nough to use! PACKAGING: Well this is annoying. It comes in a ‘nice’ heavy duty plastic jug. Unfortunately it is NOT very big and thus you run through it too quickly for a ‘bulk” size container. Thank most municipalities will not recycle it! There is a LOT of plastic in this jug. I am VERY disappointed in this choice and will not be re-ordering it. For an “Eco” brand this is not cool! I have had far better results in using this other brad of hand soap in a much larger, more recyclable jug: Ginger Lily Farms Botanicals All-Purpose Liquid Hand Soap Refill, Fragrance Free. It is fragrance free, so there is that, but it is a far better product. Very reasonably priced too.
