Solid little projector with brightness, sharpness, ease of use, and a built-in battery to boot.

So i was pretty skeptical about the brightness, size, noise etc. of this device, but figured I'd give it a try, and I'm sure glad I did. We were about four weeks out of country stuck with essentially non-english TV in a hospital room with two adults and two kids - just imagine.... Anyhow this little device coupled with a Chromecast was a lifesaver as we were able to run Netflix and other streams on our tablet to this little wonder. Lifesaver is an understatement, but even my wife who is generally uninterested in technology or features was uniquely impressed by the picture quality, the brightness and the consistent sharp focus and overall image this projector delivered. We also impressed pretty much everyone who stopped by to the point where people were writing down the name/model number of this bright little box as they were having tech-envy. No sales pitch like a live demo! So here's a few other points on this - 1. I had read reviews that the speaker in the device was mediocre, so I traveled with a small separate powered speaker - and that made a massive difference. Some folks mentioned noise from the unit, but was not a factor with our external powered speaker. 2. This thing rocks with Chromecast. Plug it into the HDMI and and the power into the USB port on this device, and you're all set. Really. Kinda like they were made for each other. 3. Several reviewers complained about the tripod which came with this - its a little plastic table-top tripod which is in my opinion absolutely sufficient and does the job of enabling you to move direction/angle of where you're projecting. This came in much more convenient than I would have imagined. 4. The projector has a built-in battery - thankfully.... We had the power drop several times mid-movie and it kept on going without a hitch. Wasn't able to test the life of the battery as power tended to cycle back after 10 or 15 minutes, but happy to know this can be utilized without AC. 5. Bright enough for use during day with curtains drawn. I'd say impressively bright for its size. Overall, much more impressed than I thought I would be. It's small enough to pack and about the only complaint I have is that the power supply brick didn't have folding prongs, which seems an obvious feature in this day and age. If you're on the fence, just get it and you'll be pleased.

More junk

I used this projector once and it was ok at best. Bright for it's size but not nearly bright enough unless in a dark room. I put it up and forgot about it for a year or so and got it out for Halloween decorations and it's dead. It's getting power, the battery is charging, but when it powers up it spits out a black image with random white pixels (like a static version of snow on the old tube tvs) and powers itself off. Seems unreal I paid several hundred dollars for not even 2 hours of use. I'm avoiding this company's products at all costs.
