I’ve been using the La Roche-Posay Cicaplast Balm B5 for a few months now, and it’s become a holy grail in my skincare routine. I have dry, sensitive skin that often reacts to weather changes or active ingredients, and this balm instantly soothes and repairs any irritation or redness. The texture is rich but not greasy. It absorbs nicely without leaving a heavy film, and it works great under makeup too. I mostly use it at night as the last step in my routine, especially after using acids or retinol. In the morning, my skin feels soft, calm, and hydrated. What I love most is that it contains vitamin B5, madecassoside, and shea butter – all powerful ingredients for healing and restoring the skin barrier. It’s also fragrance-free and safe even for babies, which speaks volumes about how gentle it is.

Bag balm much better
By Nate on Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2025
Not worth the hype! I heard a lot of good things about about this product on TikTok. Many people claim that it helps lock in moisture as a last step towards your skincare but I use tretnoin and gorllll its been making my skin extremely dry and I’ve been looking for better products to help lock in moisture from all my moisturizer I use and this as my last step but it just doesn’t give that skin protecting properties it just feel like a regular thick cream with dimethicone but once it hit the air it drys up instantly it doesn’t provide long lock-in hydration so I give this a 5/10 because it can be improved but I’ll just stick to my bag balm as my moisture locking solution
