Blackstone 28" Flat Top 2 Burner Griddle

Update: 10/10/23 This thing was so freakishly short. No joke. I had to sit down to cook on it. So I cut it off of its stand and saved part of the legs. I tore the top off of my old bbq grill and set the flat top grill directly inside the old bbq grilling spaced lol. It's not bolted down at all. It fits tight and doesn't move. Weird enough it fit perfect. NOW I have a flat top grill that is high enough for me to comfortably cook on. It looks crazy (see picture). But boy it works great now lol!!! Update: 05/06/22 Pulled this out today due to a large gathering. Holy smokes I forgot how SHORT this thing is!! I have to sit down to use it. I am either going to transfer the top to another grill or add large wheels to the bottom. Again this is for really short people. Fyi I'm 6'2" and this is annoyingly short. Update 7/16/19: I rarely use this. Its big enough at 28 inches. I have moved onto a single burner and a wok. I cook all of my veggies in the wok and cook the best steaks ever in the wok as well. Here is the thing. With a wok i can cook the same amount of veggies as this blackstone griddle holds in 2 tries. I now cook my steaks in a wok 1 at a time. In the end I use WAY less olive oil and WAY less gas. Plus the wok clean up is quick. With the blackstone griddle you need a scraper and napkins to clean. You have to turn on both burners which really goes through gas. Plus you have to add more oil after cleaning to prevent rusting. If I was cooking for 8 plus people I would use the blackstone. Anything less a wok blows this away. Lets not forget this griddle is made for really short people. I have the 28 inch griddle. Its pretty big. The 36 inch is overkill for me even with a household of 4. 1st off the griddle works fine. Pretty cool actually. Cooks everything up great. Think (HF) harbor freight as far as quality. We all know some HF quality is horrible and some are great. On the amazon 5 star scale I would put this at a 4 as far as build quality. The metal base with legs is made from thin metal and not welded all the way around. The wheels are too close together making it top heavy and a bit unstable. My wheels do not have locks like the picture. With all that said its still a good griddle. My number 1 issue, the biggest issue I have and it really bothers me is the height. From the ground to the top of the griddle is 31 inches. 31 flippin inches?! A standard countertop is 36 inches. Come on blackstone. Not everyone is short. From the ground to the top of the side shelf is 25 inches lol. I have to bend over to use this thing. I am 6ft 03 inch and sit in a chair when I use it. I will be extending the length of the legs unfortunately. Again even with this issue the griddle cooks fine. As far as functionality I give this a 1 out of 5 stars due to its short height. That puts it overall at a 3. With an amazon sale I paid $179 shipped to my door. I cant complain about the price. Just the height.
