Works good for Leaky Gut
By Gary on Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2018
I have thyroid disease and major problems with Leaky Gut. Including multiple food sensitivities. If a food is high in calories, I probably have a sensitivity against it. I can’t gain weight because of this. I’ve been taking sovereign colostrum for about 6 weeks. I didn’t notice any benefits until after 3 weeks. This had made a bigger difference by far than anything else I’ve tried. And I also take bone broth everyday amongst other things. I’ve slowly been adding back in foods I couldn’t handle before. So happy I found sovereign colostrum, I believe this is the most powerful tool in the toolbox for Leaky gut. If you suffer from it, this is the best $80 a month you will spend. Important: Take it on an empty stomach. Plenty of water! Edit: I’ve been unable to wean myself off this product without a relapse in symptoms. I can’t understand why this product isn’t covered by health insurance. Update: I’ve discovered something else equally important for healing leaky gut, and it makes colostrum work better. Spore based probiotics or soil based probiotics, take it once a day! Warning DO NOT buy Codeage brand SBO probiotic, it is contaminated with heavy metal!! Instead try to find a 100% spore based probiotic. I’ve been experimenting with probiotics. Its worth mentioning Good Belly probiotic drink (gluten free one) is a good choice. Helpful to get rid of Bloating. Update: To prevent a leaky gut increase your stomach acid! Get Betaine HCL 650 mg with Pepsin. Take 2 or 3 at the beginning of every meal. Digest your food again. Prevent undigested food from causing a leaky gut Update: For probiotics I’ve found these strains to be the most helpful for healing Leaky Gut. Seek them out, I'll include a brief description and benefits of each. Saccharomyces boulardii - Unique species of probiotic yeast that fights disease-causing organisms in the gut, prevents diarrhea, and aids general digestion. Helps seal your gut lining, modulates the immune system, and decreases inflammation. Lactobacillus plantarum - Found in kimchi, sauerkraut, and other cultured vegetables, this bug is one of the most beneficial bacteria in your body. It survives in the stomach for a long time and performs many functions that help regulate immunity and control inflammation in the gut. It also helps fortify the gut lining, fending off potential invaders that might compromise the intestinal wall and sneak into the bloodstream. In fact, L. plantarum’s beneficial impact on the gut lining is perhaps its most important attribute, for it reduces gut permeability, thereby reducing the associated risks for leaky gut—including an increased risk for virtually every brain disorder. Moreover, L. plantarum can quickly digest protein, and this has the ultimate effect of preventing food allergies and even treating such allergies when they arise. Its been shown in experimental animal studies to protect engineered mice from having clinical symptoms of multiple sclerosis and even reduce the inflammatory response typical of that condition. Finally, L. plantarum has an uncanny ability to absorb and maintain important nutrients such as brain-friendly omega- 3 fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants. All of these actions make L. plantarum essential for fighting infection and taking control of any pathogenic bacteria. **David Perlmutter Bacillus subtilis - Produces Nattokinase, Vitamin K2, and over 12 potent antibiotics for fighting bacteria and improved immune development. Increases short-chain fatty acid production, a key component for boosting your metabolism and weight loss, by up to 40%, Help treat gut infections like SIBO, Candida, and parasites. Bacillus coagulans - Produces L+ optical form of lactic acid and is often prescribed to patients needing acute immune support. Decreases abdominal pain and bloating symptoms caused by IBS (irritable Bowel Syndrome), Used to treat Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease. Update: This last piece of advice is theoretical, but I believe you can accelerate the healing of Leaky Gut by incorporating deep breathing exercises into your routine. DANGEROUS PRODUCT
By Tyler on Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2024
This colostrum product's liposomal delivery system dramatically increases absorption by up to 1500% compared to regular colostrum. While this enhances beneficial compounds, it also significantly increases IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1) absorption, as well as other growth factors. IGF-1 is a powerful growth promoter that can trigger cell proliferation and growth throughout the body. Excessive levels of it are linked to the development of many concerns, including prostate, colorectal and breast cancer. Colostrum contains growth factors that help newborn babies grow. Adults consuming these growth factors may cause certain cells to turn on and divide that shouldn't be. This is a product that has NOT been independently studied enough. Many early studies are paid for by the companies interested in profiting from the product and are not legitimate scientific studies. IGF-1 Content & Production: - Adult body typically produces 1-3 mg of IGF-1 per day - Natural bovine colostrum contains approximately 213-938 ng/ml of IGF-1 - Typical colostrum supplements contain around 10-50 ng/ml IGF-1 - Body maintains IGF-1 blood levels around 150-300 ng/ml naturally Known Risks of Elevated IGF-1: - High blood IGF-1 levels (>300 ng/ml) are associated with increased cancer risk - Particularly concerning for hormone-sensitive cancers like breast, prostate - Can potentially accelerate growth of existing tumors - May contribute to benign tissue growth/hyperplasia Warning signs to watch for: - Unusual swelling or tissue changes - New or changing skin growths - Changes in existing moles or growths - Unexplained pain or pressure - Blood sugar changes (IGF-1 affects insulin sensitivity) - Persistent headaches - Vision changes - Joint or bone pain - neurological symptoms Other significant growth factors in liposomal colostrum and their associated risks: TGF-β (Transforming Growth Factor Beta): - Natural levels in colostrum: 10-50 ng/ml - Primary concern: Can promote tissue fibrosis - Known to have dual roles in cancer (both suppression and promotion) - Risk increases with enhanced absorption - Particularly concerning for those with inflammatory conditions EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor): - Natural levels in colostrum: 30-100 ng/ml - Directly stimulates cell proliferation - Associated with tumor growth when elevated - Risk of promoting skin and epithelial tissue growth - Enhanced delivery could overstimulate skin cell production PDGF (Platelet-Derived Growth Factor): - Natural levels in colostrum: 1-3 ng/ml - Promotes blood vessel formation - Could potentially support tumor vascularization - Risk of promoting fibrotic conditions - May affect wound healing inappropriately FGF (Fibroblast Growth Factor): - Natural levels in colostrum: 1-5 ng/ml - Stimulates blood vessel development - Can promote tissue growth and repair - Risk of uncontrolled cell growth - May affect existing growths
