Elegant, ergonomic, thoughtful.
By Kristin M. on Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2020
The designers were on the ball with this one. It is designed with the user in mind. Easy to hold, with perfectly placed finger wells and open bridge. A thickly padded comfortable neck strap that does not dig in to your neck, and a carrying harness. Excellent sharp and bright optics. The field is almost flat but not quite. There some minimal fringing CA, and SA around the perimeter, but almost negligible in practical use. The eye relief is quite generous. The lens caps are excellent, although the tabs are too narrow to fit the sockets securely. I put a thin dab of silicone adhesive on the tabs ...problem solved. These binoculars are pretty close to perfection and certainly superior to the Bushnell versions, although these do lack a hydrophobic coating.

Diaptor issue, super glue the front cap connection points
By Al Cofrin on Reviewed in the United States on May 14, 2018
Excellent bins for the price. Only issue is that two purchased pairs (1 year and 5 months old) both had issues with the diaptors swinging out of alignment within a short period of time. Which I found very unusual for a fairly brand new set of binoculars especially with Celestron's reputation. I had to put both into a local optics shop to adjust as both bins had out of sync diaptors to the point that focusing was out of range for actual use in the field. I wonder if anyone else has had the same problem with this model. I am hoping the shop will be able to tighten whatever was loose to keep it drifting in the future. My only other complaint on the Celestron design is the front lens caps come loose within the first day and are completely lost within a short period. If you purchase Celestron bins, I would highly recommend that you take some super glue in those front rubber caps into its connection slot cause they will be gone and lost on the trail within first 2 miles of hiking. Not the best connection point design.
