Best mouse pad I've ever had.
By Greg Perez on Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2022
I originally bought one of these years ago. It's still great in fantastic condition from all the way when I got it before at least 5 years I think. I just bought a second one as a back up since the price was really good ($20) and it's the best mouse pad I've ever had. It's really nice if you have enough space on your desk since it's larger than most standard mouse pads. The bottom grip is great, I've never had it slip once. I like the fact that it's a hard metal surface instead of a fabric one, there is a lot less friction and assuming your mouse had good bottom pads and there is no dust or anything between the mouse and the pad then the mouse just glides across. The only thing I really had to get used to is that because it's metal it gets cold when you're not using it. When you start using it for the day there is that initial cold to the touch feeling but it goes away in a minute or so. I do a lot of gaming and work on my PC so I'm on probably at least 4 hours a day and it's still in great condition. It's smooth metal so you can just used water and wipe it down and won't have to wait for it to dry like washing a fabric mouse pad. With so many years of pretty constant use it's only gained 1 tiny chip/scratch where the black surface came off and you can see the aluminum underneath. The chip is only cosmetic too, can't feel it at all and doesn't affect the mouse's movement or response. 10/10 for sure.

Noisier than expected.
By N. D. Lay on Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2018
This is a nice mousepad. It is one of a few larger area, hard surface pads out there. Definitely has the right amount friction, and all of my mice track well on it. It's always cold, which I dig, but I know some players have a hard time with cold hands - so keep that in mind. It comes in a large plastic travel case which seems solid enough. I knock it for 2 reasons: 1) the price. i think this pad is probably priced right as a luxury item, but i was skeptical that a funtioning mouse pad should cost $50...and as i look at the thing, i think i'm right. 2) it is noisy. i played on this pad for a few days and i could not get over the sound. I did some very informal testing by comparing it to my steelseries 4hd and bamboo veneer desk top. It is louder than either of those surfaces, but not by much. it took me a minute, but i figured out why it's so distracting. It has a higher pitched sound. It's a little sharper. It sounds like someone walking through the grass in PUBG. It sounds a little windy. It sounds like someone sneaking around a bush in DayZ Standalone. It isn't a perfect analog, but it's close enough to be distracting.
