Amazing sound and sleek looks
By GadgetChick on Reviewed in the United States on December 24, 2014
II got this at the same time as another speaker (XtremeMac Tango TRX Bluetooth 30-Pin iPod/iPhone/iPad Speaker Dock) - the two together cost me less than the retail price just of this speaker, I assume because these are a few seasons old, at this point. One speaker is going to stay at home and live in my bedroom; the other is headed for work. Each speaker has its own pros and cons. In the end, I decided to keep the iLuv MobiAria at home, and take the XtremeMac Tango to work. Here's why: - The sleek looks of iLuv MobiAria are right at home in my minimalist bedroom. The speaker is the personification of simple - a black rectangle with light-up touch controls, and that's it. You control the speaker from your phone. It's unobtrusive and blends nicely with my decor, sitting on the top shelf of a bookshelf. That makes it a better match with my home lifestyle than my office one. - The XtremeMac Tango has a remote and a built-in 30-pin connector for an iPod. I still have an iPod Classic (which is now apparently quite the collector's item, or something) that has never gone out of service. I tend to use the iPod more at work, as my employer isn't too keen on people streaming music over the network all day. So that means the Tango works better for the office. However - I could take the MobiAria to work, and just use the aux input, if I chose. - Sound. I was really impressed by the MobiAria's sound. I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination. But I was impressed with the mellow mid-tones, and not-overly-deep bass. I listened to several types of music - classical, jazz, opera, downtempo, indie - and the speaker sounded great no matter what I played. The Tango sounded *good* on its own. In comparison to the MobiAria, though, the sound is just *okay*. And for home use, I prefer the richer, fuller, excellent sound of the MobiAria. I think the Tango will sound fine in my little office, but seemed to struggle a bit creating "room filling" mellow sound. Not a problem the MobiAria has, at all. At the lower end of the volume range, the speaker's sound was more than enough to fill the bedroom with music. I think this is an amazing speaker for the price. I am hoping it will last. Hard to go wrong at this price point of well under $100.

Bluetooth connection doesn't work - faulty product - do not buy
By Jill S. on Reviewed in the United States on June 8, 2016
The bluetooth connection on this product doesn't work at all. I really like the way it looks but unfortunately it just doesn't work - and it wasn't cheap so it's like throwing money in the toilet. I thought it was my wireless connection for a long time but I finally got frustrated and went and bought a Bose bluetooth speaker and it works perfectly - no skipping, buffering etc - no connection issues. I then got a little Jams speaker and it works great as well. So it's definitely this product that doesn't work - it's faulty and I recommend you do not purchase it.iLuv MobiAria (Charge and Play NFC Speaker) iPhone 6/6S Plus, iPhone 6/6S and Other Bluetooth NFC Devices
