WHY DISCONTINUE THIS???
By WILLIRALPH on Reviewed in the United States on July 10, 2025
WHY DISCONTINUE THISSSS???? My skin is VERY prone to eruptions of all kinds and for 30 years I used Clairin’s Gentle Foaming Cleanser and they changed the formula. Finally I found this and it’s been discontinued. I’m sure I’m not the only person who feels this way and the only reason I can think of why good products are discontinued is because the ingredients become more expensive. Well, then, just raise the price. I’ll buy it. Now I’m going to have to do my whole trial and error and breakout and rashes until I find something that works.

Drying Over Time
By Bella M. on Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2024
I've been using the La Roche-Posay Pigmentclar Brightening Face Cleanser for a bit now, and it has both pros and cons. Initially, I did not notice a positive change in my skin's texture and tone, the exfoliating properties of the LHA formula just didn't work well for me. The fragrance-free formula was a plus for me, as I prefer products without strong scents. The foaming cream consistency felt luxurious and a little went a LONG way. Yet, it has that over-cleansing feeling, making my face feel tight. However, after a few weeks of consistent use, I started to notice that my skin felt increasingly dry and thin, almost as if my barrier was being dehydrated. I found that adding an extra hydrating serum and moisturizer helped combat the drying effect, but ultimately discontinued use because I felt it was doing too much damage.
