They do a great job cooling down small to medium rooms

We have two of these now. They do a great job cooling down small to medium rooms. Don't expect a whisper level motor. These have a relatively loud hum. You can work next to them though. The important thing is that they get the job done. Cool the room and direct any moisture out through the window. If you have tall sliding windows like we do, you will need an extension or a custom fit insert. We ended up going with a custom fit insert a handyman made for us. Works great with both.

cooling function is good - keeps 10 degrees low than outside

the unit is loud! 55 dB?! if you are in the same room, have to speak loud, turn music loud, etc. to me is about 85dB! cooling function is good - keeps 10 degrees low than outside, on full speed! humidifier works great - makes your throat dry! overall I don't recommend it for more than one room if you can stand the noise.
