WELLA colorcharm Permanent Gel Haircolor

Update: Went in with 12A and 050 toner mixing them and it worked! Still 3 stars bc it needed a toner additive to be effective, i also used 30 vol. Original Review: kind of aggravated at this color. usually i can get away with dyeing my hair the lightest ash shade possible to tone it, instead of waisting money on a toner that doesnt last. i used to use revlons lightest ash blond, or their silver blond, but i started getting hives from their color. so i switched to wella color charm bc i never had an issue with their permanent gel colors before. i tried the lightest Aa shade of this, 12A & it didnt really do much. i used 20 vol silver lights developer which didnt help at all but was affordable and i wasnt allergic to it, & yeah it gave it an ashy look, but it was almost like a translucent ash. the yellow stayed behind & thats not an issue ive had before with permanent colors. im going to have to tone, & then color at this point..no, my hair wasnt poris, i spent 3 years as a cosmo & i know how to take care of my hair & prep it properly, but this color just isnt as strong as the photos. the yellow shows through & my ocd is flairing. tone first! 3 stars bc no hives so their ingredients are honest..went over this with adore baby blue & it looks mermaid aqua...
