Very good scale

Have been very pleased with the scale. It was easy for me, but not for my roommate or houseguest to pair their phones with the scale. So the instructions could be plainer, perhaps. For that reason, only four stars -- well, that, and the fact that the instructions mention another brand of scale, and asked me to download that company's app -- which I did not do. But when you look past those issues -- oh and that the batteries promised by the instructions were nowhere to be found -- then you have a fine scale, easy to use, providing a lot of good information.

Incompatible with iPhone 4

Product description on Amazon says compatible with iPhones (iOS 5 or later), but the documentation shipped with the scale says compatible with iPhone 4s and later and the apps (both Pyle and Samico versions) require a Bluetooth 4.0 capable device. FALSE ADVERTISING and very disappointed. It will be interesting to see what Amazon and Pyle do to correct the situation ... Update: Amazon listing now says compatible with iOS 6 or later and clarifies need for Bluetooth 4.0, but even with compatible hardware (iPhone 4s or later) the App has a compatibility issue with iOS 8 (freezes when you try to add a new profile or edit certain fields in an existing profile.) Samico rep indicates that an App updated with the fix is in the works, but is not available online yet. FYI the current version of the App also does not support HealthKit. I will update when I test the new version of the App.
