Impressive Camera for the Price -- Great Step Up From Small Point-and-Shoot Jokers
By DeltaSierra426 on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2016
Superb DSLR for the price! Great photo quality in almost any scenario / condition, long battery life, and included Canon 18-55mm Imagine Stabilization II lens works masterfully and makes this a great value package. Eye-Fi Mobi 16GB SD card works well... at least with photos -- haven't shot video yet. Be sure to use a Class 10 or UHS-1 or faster SD card if you are going to shoot video -- this will ensure a fast and smooth write process to the SD card (this is also true for pics). Not sure why cameras can't take high quality yet somewhat small PNG image files -- a max-quality JPEG isn't much smaller than a 24-bit PNG yet noticeably lower quality, as PNG is lossless compression and JPEG is lossy. Moving on... includes a stand mount on bottom. Easy to use for anyone and will feel very familiar to Canon users. Be sure to read up on how to access and utilize more advanced features -- you paid for them and it's got the capability. For us casual "photographers" wanting something better than your common Point-and-Shoot, this is it. I.E. if you take a lot of scenic photos traveling and/or family photos, do yourself a favor and take those pictures that will last forever on a nice camera like this.

Dissapointing Experience
By Brina on Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2022
I am a busy photographer. My old camera finally died after 10 years of use. Because of budget reasons I decided to try out a refurbished Canon. I LOVE CANON. When I received the camera I was bursting at the seams excited to play with a new(er) Canon. I plugged in the battery and impatiently waited 3 then 4 then 5 hours for the battery to charge. After letting it charge for 5 hours I decided to try to turn the camera on. NOTHING. The camera didn't respond at all. I did a bunch of research on troubleshooting, and contacted an expert. I was told to get a new battery from manufacturer to see if it is the battery or the camera. I contacted the seller, they were responsive at first. They asked me for the camera's serial # and pictures of battery. I sent those then received a message asking for the battery model #. Which is honestly a waste of time because I SENT A PICTURE OF THE BATTERY with the model # clearly showing. I responded with the model # for the battery... and radio silence. NOTHING. I am not sure if they were trying to run the clock out on my return window... or if they just don't care... But this put a MAJOR sour taste in my mouth. Regardless, I will be returning camera and footing the bill for a brand new camera.
