READ THIS IF YOU ARE STARTING TO RESEARCH JUICERS
By Big Wave Dave on Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2016
UPDATE 3.15.2017 I should have updated this post sooner. I was able to send the Juicer back to Omega directly and they took care of replacing it ASAP. Excellent customer service, great and fast response time. The replacement blender has worked flawlessly since we received it back in October, so about 5 1/2 months now. Omega can't be beat for customer service and responsiveness, this should give anyone the confidence to buy their products. Had I read through the warranty I would have seen the company backs up their products for over ten years. I doubt I will still be using my juicer that long - hoping that technology moves better solutions forward by then! UPDATE 8.8.2016 Two months after purchase I have purchased hundreds of items from Amazon over the past couple of years and never wirte reviews. I was pretty happy with the initial performance of the Omega VERT slow juicer and so busted out a quick raving 5 star review. Now only two months later the juicer is broken and in a box, never to be used again, the seller only had a 30 day warranty. If you plan on using a juicer with any frequency, plan on buying another juicer and not from this seller. I had high hopes for this juicer only to be very, very disappointed in its acutal lack of performance. Save yourself the time and money and look for a horizontal auger type juicer, they last longer. *************************** Omega VERT Slow Juicer VSJ843QS, Square Version, Silver. We have a small beverage business and fresh press our organic fruits and roots. Over the past two years we have used the Omega J8006 and tried the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus. Our goal is to have as much pure juice and the least amount of pulp or residual byproduct in the juice, so we are willing to take more time to achieve this result. While the Breville is a great machine and probably good for someone juicing for personal health purposes, it had too much pulp and a lot of it was too wet. The Omega J8006 has been a staunch work horse, but after a year the parts started wearing out. Omega's customer service is top notch however and has been very helpful in getting us replacement screens at no additional cost to us. The OJ8006 finally broke down a few days ago so we are sending the base unit back to Omega as they have a 7 or 10 year warranty. In the mean time I did a Yuge, huge, HUGE amount of research looking for a replacement and came up with the Omega VERT Slow Juicer VSJ843QS. I will spare you the details, only because I don't have the time to elaborate since I spent all of it researching and actually have to get back to work, but I wanted to get a quick 5 star rating posted on this product. DISCLAIMER, I am writing this after the first use and will update later if my experience changes. This Slow Juicer is the bomb, It squeezes 4 cups of Pineapple juice out of one Pineapple, whereas we typically only get 3 cups. Try getting those results for Pineapple in any other juicer. We just sliced the pieces and dropped them in the chute, didn't even have to press down on the plunger. And there was hardly any foam whatsoever, a stark contrast to both of the other machines we have used. Then we put ginger into the plunger which you have to use to process ginger. It did get stuck a few times, but the reverse button offered a quick solution and we were able to churn out some ginger juice that was as pure as any I have seen. The pulp was so dry you could have used it for kindling. I realize that writing a review after juicing two items, a pineapple and ginger, is not a thorough review. But after you have juiced for two years in a small business environment you know what to look for and anticipate. This juicer is very quiet and the wide auger with low RMP does a great job of giving us the most juice and therefore bang for our buck. So make sure to include this juicer in your research and save yourself a whole lot of time. If you find something better, please let me know!

Broke within a few months and customer service is abysmal
By Chrissy L on Reviewed in the United States on April 26, 2023
This is the fifth juicer I've owned in six years, and the first one I've ever had a problem with (I like to try/sell different products as an avid juicer). I bought this one last November, and it lasted a few months until it broke a few weeks ago. Meaning, it stopped processing the produce, which built up inside the reservoir and wasn't turned into juice. It started making something that looked more like pond scum with a lot of solid material as opposed to a drinkable product. The juice, if you can call it that, is filled with so many solid pieces of produce and pulp that it's absolutely undrinkable. I contacted customer service and they have been unresponsive for two weeks. When I call them, I am told I will have an answer in 24 - 48 hours, yet the stated deadlines come and go with no response. When I call them again for an update, I am told (3x now) that they need pictures and videos, yet I've already sent the requested materials. They finally sent the pictures and videos to someone they call a "product specialist", who then emailed to ask me AGAIN for the same pictures I already sent. Now, he apparently did receive some of my pictures (the rest seems to have disappeared into a black hole), and told me it appears I am "over juicing!" Unbelievable! He said this juicer can only handle 12 - 16 ounces before it needs a 15 minute rest. As an avid juicer, I can say that's patently absurd for a juicer in this price point. Not only that, but none of their marketing materials disclose this fact. However, I am, in fact, only juicing 16 ounces at a time before resting the juicer. This did not seem to matter as they are back to not replying to my emails, and clearly avoiding honoring the warranty at this time. I replied to the specialist indicating that I am only juicing 16 ounces at a time, yet he went dark on me. It's unclear at this point if they will ethically resolve this issue and honor their stated warranty or not. I recommend reviewing their Better Business Bureau page, which is filled with similar complaints. It appears other reviewers here have also experienced the same issues. I will never buy another product from Omega given the run around I've been getting. They don't stand behind their over-priced, poor quality products, and they make you feel as though you are insignificant and a bother.
