Lasts a long time before needing to be replaced

I love Amazon Basics batteries and have noet had any problems with them. They power our devices as we expect and they are a good value from a brand that we trust. I have another size in our flameless candles that are set to come on every night, Those batteries have consistently powered the candles for 4-5 months straight before needing to be replaced. The candles are set to come on automatically every night for about 4 hours.

Not confidence-inspiring for long-term or rugged use.

As an audio technician, I rely heavily on 9V batteries for wireless mics, effects pedals, and testing equipment. I decided to try the Amazon Basics 9V batteries thinking they'd offer decent performance for non-critical uses—but unfortunately, they’ve been completely unreliable. Voltage Instability: From the start, several units tested below 9.0V fresh out of the package—some as low as 8.4V. That’s a red flag for any critical application. When used in wireless transmitters, these batteries caused inconsistent signal drops and early low-battery warnings, even after less than 2 hours of use. Discharge Rate: The self-discharge rate is clearly high. Batteries stored for 3 months in room temperature already showed degraded voltage (~8.6V) with no usage. I monitored power draw over time with a data logger and confirmed that these cells struggle under even moderate loads. Build Quality & Fit: The outer casing feels slightly thinner than name-brand batteries like Duracell or Energizer, and the terminals feel softer—one of them bent slightly during insertion into a battery compartment.
