Smooth, Spa-Level Skin at Home
By Ione Brasil on Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2025
I’ve been using the PMD Personal Microderm Classic for a few weeks now, and it’s become a core part of my skincare routine. The machine feels solid and ergonomic in hand, and switching between discs and intensity levels is simple—perfect for customizing each session. After cleansing, the gentle suction combined with exfoliating discs delivers a smooth, polished complexion that feels like a mini facial every time. Immediately after use, my skin feels noticeably softer and brighter. Fine lines and dryness are less visible, and my usual serums and moisturizers absorb much better. I’ve also tried it on rough areas like elbows and knees with impressive results—a few passes and the skin feels freshly renewed. Just be sure to follow the prep and aftercare steps in the kit, as recommended. Overall, it’s a professional-level treatment I can do at home—cost-effective, effective, and easy to use.

Risk greater than reward
By LegacyFreedomHarvest on Reviewed in the United States on August 9, 2024
First, it’s expensive for what it is. It’s a handheld (has to be plugged in) that vacuums and microdermabrasion away dead skin. But I was hopeful to help save money in the long run. Where the wand went smoothly across my skin, there were no issues. But where the device sucked too hard, I have burn marks and scabs from the white training disk on my skin. There was no way to break the suction of the vacuum without continuing to run across the skin or turn it off. Ouch! All night my face burned and by the morning I had scabs. Face still burns. I only used the white training disk, I can’t imagine how bad it would have been if I used the other more intense disks! This is not my first microdermabrasion. I’ve done many times at the spa (I prefer hydra facials!). The biggest problem with this device is that there is no protection for your skin in case something like this happens. It’s like it just sucked too hard for a bit and then it went back to working “normally”. I was hopeful to find something to work between spa visits but this hurts your skin. I believe that the risk is greater than the reward.
