Cheap and quality alternative brush heads
By Andy on Reviewed in the United States on February 24, 2025
I bought these brush heads before and the old batch is running out, so I bought a new pack of 8. 1. Good quality. The bristles have the right stiffness, similar to the original Philips ones, maybe slightly softer. Fit on the brush handle very well. 2. Vibration is similar to the original ones. 3. A lot cheaper than the original ones. 4. The Philips brush heads have some sort of built-in sensor (the small dark square shaped thing?) in the end where to plug in the handle. When pressed harder against teeth, the original brush makes a different sound which is probably designed to alert users not to use too much pressure to avoid damaging teeth and gum. These alternatives have no such elements for feedbacks. Maybe that's why they can be made at much lower cost. But since the vibration is already strong enough, I normally won't press too hard on my teeth. So, the lack of alert is not essential for me. 5. Last for a long time. Each brush head can last for a few months. Occasionally I use vinegar to sock the head to get rid of the calcium residues from water, and I have a small sonication cleaner to double clean the brush heads. With proper maintenance, they can last much longer without much problem of bacteria contamination.

Horrible product that increases risk of biofilm formation on toothbrush
By RB on Reviewed in the United States on July 19, 2025
I purchased these to use with my Sonicare electric toothbrush. Unfortunately, when I attach the brush heads to the handle, there is a small space between them where gunk (by which I mean biofilm) can accumulate. You can see this small gap in the photos. The gunk then builds up inside the neck of the brush head, which, unlike a real Sonicare brush head, is fairly hollow. I have hard water at my house, which creates an especially disgusting black biofilm. And I recently spotted some of the black gunk between the bristles of my brush head, which I assume resulted from the biofilm growing all the way up through the inside of the brush head and out through a tiny opening into the bristles. (In the zoomed in photo, you can see a small ring of black gunk between the handle and brush head). This happened less than 1 month after I changed the brush head. I then cleaned the handle as best as I could and attached a clean, new brush head. But a few weeks later, the same thing happened again! Consequently, I think the issue is the brush heads. Biofilms are not only disgusting, they also pose a health hazard. Consequently, I am very upset and do not think anyone else should buy this product.
