My go to, affordable nighttime moisturizer
By Emily Williams on Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2025
I love a good nighttime cream, but 99% of the time, they are SO expensive and come in very small amounts. I got tired of paying so much, so I hunted around and tested products until I discovered this one. Oh my gosh! I cannot believe I just discovered this product. For the same price as my previous night moisturizer, I get this one that has quadruple the amount of product. It is so rich and so little goes a very long way. I am not sure if this is designed to be more of a 'body cream', but it works wonders for my face, and that is solely what I use it for. It spreads over my skin like butter and instantly leaves that silky, plump feeling on my face. It is the perfect texture; not super duper rich, but not at all close to watery. It leaves you looking perfectly dewy, but not too shiny. If you have super dry skin, this would work perfectly for the daytime as well. I do have normal/dry skin. It is lightweight enough to where it doesn't have me waking up like a greaseball, as previous thicker night creams have. But it all soaks in and has definitely given my face more radiance overall. I love love love this stuff and will not be going back to anything else 🤌🏼🤌🏼

Amlactin Is Just as Good Without Toxic Chemicals in This One
By Page 9 on Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2025
It did help a lot with my KP but there are too many sus chemicals in this, LIKE SLS! And it's got a sealer too, dimethicone, which starve your skin of oxygen and also don't let OUT the bacteria and sweat. Very unhealthy in warm weather NOT TO BE ABLE TO SWEAT. Instead it makes your skin feel hot and VERY ITCHY. And it is SOOOOO STICKY!! It takes hours and hours to sink in! Amlactin Daily 12% Lotion only has a few ingredients, none of them toxic, is much thinner and it sinks into your skin in about 20 minutes. It keeps my kp under control while also using exfoliating gloves in the shower with whatever AHA/SA cleanser I'm currently using. But I have to stay on top of it! KP is relentless and if I miss a couple days treatment the darn stuff reappears almost immediately. Also, the Amlactin helps with my acne too. A lot. I resisted putting a lotion on my face but it is so helpful that I can't do without it now. But wearing it to bed irritated my eyelids so now I sleep with nothing on my face. DON'T GIVE UP if you have KP! You just gotta read a lot of reviews and keep trying new products till you get relief. (My kp was horrible! My thighs looked like pizzas!) One thing about Amlactin though, the prices vary by 200% so don't buy until you get a good price. (not here). I get mine at a membership place.
