Ingredient change

This is a product I take daily. When I received this shipment the color was different, the taste is terrible, and it chews like a rubber tire. I looked at the ingredient listing; the first ingredient used to be "tapioca syrup" and is now "glucose syrup". I wondered if this was only this bottle so I drove to a few stores and looked at labels - looks like this is a permanent, very unwelcome change.
