Worth every penny and then some...mor
By Anderson Family on Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2015
I have 3 teenage boys that have gone through dozens of headphones and earbuds ranging in cost from $40 no names to $300 Beats. I've seen them all go in the garbage and I've heard then all. It was time for Dad to get a pair. I don't hear highs and mids so clear any more but I don't want to sacrifice base. I spent two months reading reviews and technical data before I bought the Jaybird Bluebuds X. They're great. But the base is absent and can't be substituted with an equalizer. Also, I couldn't get them to feel comfortable for longer than a couple hours. But the sound is amazing if you need Bluetooth. I'm returning them. I received my second choice. The Klipsch X7. Incredible. Sounds better than the Bluebuds, fits better and the base is a perfect natural balance. It doesn't sound artificially enhanced. One criticism, wire noise, these are a no regret purchase if you listen while not in motion othwise it will annoy you.

Good enough but not the company's best work

I used to swear by the Klipsch Image S4. They produced rich, sparkling music. These X7s are a modest step down in sound quality, to the same extent Sheraton is a step down from Westin, but otherwise look nice and feel comfortable in the ears.
