Finally a shoe made for my flat feet - UPDATE 390 miles later
By Long on Reviewed in the United States on September 14, 2016
UPDATE 1/14/2019 - After 390 miles of jogging and walking on my Redeemers, the rubber on the outer edge of the soles has worn all the way through to the foam. I started to notice at around 350 miles but I kept going with them because they still felt good. Now, the cushioning of the insole has lost its bounce so my impacts are harder and I have experienced some occaisional heel pain (plantar fasciitis?) as I am a heel striker. I am replacing these shoes with a new pair of Redeemers I just bought. I still love these shoes and will wear them as long as I can find them. I considered going to Redeemer 2 but I've seen mixed reviews. My original review of the Redeemer from 9/2016 follows below. -------------------- If you're considering this shoe, you most likely have flat arches and over-pronate. If this is you, keep reading. Most shoes I try on are too narrow for me where I can feel the midsole pressing against my flat arch. Once I saw the shape of the outsole of these Redeemers I was intrigued. Compare the outsole shape to other running shoes and you'll see what I mean. Its the first thing I look at when buying any shoe. I tried these on at a run shop among several others and they felt softer than the Brooks Beast yet had more stability than the massive Hoka Constant 2 (which felt like big pillows). The size 11(my usual size) fit me perfectly. No need to buy a wide size because these were already wider than most running shoes. It has a sock liner (ISOFIT) that hugs the fore and mid foot and the tongue is sewn into it. Not really Huarache levels of sock liner but it does a good job of locking in my foot and provides an even amount of pressure all around my foot while still being breathable. No pain or blisters during my runs so far. The impact of my foot strike could be a bit softer but that may be due to my weight. Also I wish the shoe had a pull tab on the heel but that's nitpicking. I recommend this shoe to all flat footers. I might have to buy a second pair while its still on sale.

You'll either want to get the Saucony Omni 14 or the New Balance 1340v2 instead
By Scott Rose on Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2016
So Saucony decided to replace the excellent Stabil CS with the Stabil CS 2, and then they replaced the Stabil CS 2 with the Stabil CS 3. But that wasn't enough changes for them, even though everybody loved the Stabil CS series. Saucony decided to discontinue the Stabil CS series altogether, and replace it with this -- the Redeemer. This Redeemer doesn't fit ANYTHING like the Stabil CS series did... so not sure what in the world they were thinking here. However, I found that the Saucony Omni 14 ACTUALLY DOES fit exactly like the old Stabil CS 2 fit, so grab the Omni 14 while you still can. However, the Omni 14 has less pronation support than the Redeemer, so it might hurt your knees a bit like it did to my knees. If you want to switch to another brand, the New Balance 1340v2 is the closest shoe that we've found to the old Stabil CS and Stabil CS2, and it doesn't hurt our knees at all. So, it looks like Saucony has turned us into a New Balance customer.
