KEVIN MURPHY FREE.HOLD - Hair Styling Paste - For All Hair Types - Medium Hold

All I need is an easy-to-use, not-too-stiff-or-shiny, non-smelly product to somewhat keep my hair where I put it. Years ago I switched from a too-expensive Bumble product to a Kevin Murphy product in a tan box called "Un.Dressed" that was perfect. So of course they've stopped making it (Note: one seller on Amazon seems willing to let one go for $90, if that tells you anything about the wisdom of discontinuing it). Loved that it kept my hair in line without looking terribly noticeable, had virtually no smell, and the fact the tubs lasted me about a year, making it a good deal. This one seemed the closest in terms of the type of product, so I've given it a shot. It feels similar to the Un.Dressed product, which is good, and doesn't seem too sticky or shiny, so I think it will be fine. However, it's imbued with some kind of pointless citrusy (?) scent that I'd rather do without. It's not overwhelming, and so far hasn't triggered my wife's migraines (an issue with other products) but WHY? Why must every personal care product SMELL like something? I don't want to smell like anything. I don't want to be surrounded by perfumes and oils and fragrances, and I suspect I'm not alone. If I wanted to smell like something all day, I'd seek it out, not assume I'll be smelling like whatever the hair gel people have in mind. Overall, I prefer the Un.Dressed product, but this one seems like it will do in a pinch. Keeping my eye out for something similar that's fragrance-free though. Three needlessly fragrant stars
