Perfect for my husband’s thinning hair
By Wendy Wu on Reviewed in the United States on July 6, 2025
My husband isn’t ready to shave his head yet, but knew he’d be more confident with a little help. So I did some research and decided to give this product a try for his thinning hair at his crown. I got him the color dark brown, his hair is so dark it’s almost black. The color works perfectly. I spray it for him since it’s the back of his head, and I kind of spray it like I’m spray painting because essentially that’s what I’m doing lol I keep the 6in rule like you do with dry shampoo. Don’t get too close to the hair, less is more. You can always add more but if you’re too close or too heavy handed it’ll look like you spray painted your head. I haven’t had any issues applying it and once it’s try it lasts all day. I brush out his hair before, and then after I’ve applied it. Let it fully dry before you put on a hat or sit on the couch and smear it on the back rest like my husband’s done! It looks different once it’s dry and it’s truly been a game changer. Now he doesn’t feel like he has to keep his hat on everywhere he goes. Attaching a before and after of his hair!

Mid at BEST
By Gina Barimmons on Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2025
I have dark brown hair that is gray at my temples. I used the Medium Brown color. For brunettes: You need to shield every part of your face except the part you want painted...otherwise you will look like you did a mud run. Annoying: If you shield your face you can't see where you are spraying. I think a second person would make things easier. Even shielding my face this stuff splattered and didn't go on evenly. Some grays did not get coverage while parts of my scalp were black. I spent a solid 15 minutes trying to even this out and took off a significant amount of color. I included a pic after I sprayed as well as a after I cleaned up. At least it comes off easy with a wet wipe, but it does get EVERYWHERE. (I live in Seattle, the city of rain and I wonder what would happen to me if caught in a downpour...) It will also come off on your pillow. It works for around the face, but for the rest of your scalp not much to be done. It also leaves your roots feeling grimy until you wash. It's not terrible, but is it worth avoiding dye? My official analysis is: Mid
