Gentle makeup remover
By Amazon Customer on Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2025
I’ve tried several makeup removers over the years, but Garnier’s Micellar Cleansing Water is by far one of the best. It removes all traces of makeup—including waterproof mascara—without any harsh rubbing or stinging. I love that it doubles as a toner, leaving my skin feeling fresh, clean, and hydrated. What makes this product stand out is how gentle it is. I have sensitive skin, and this doesn’t cause any irritation or redness. It’s fragrance-free, non-greasy, and doesn’t leave any residue behind. I use it with a cotton pad as the first step in my nighttime routine, and it does a fantastic job prepping my skin for cleansing and moisturizing. It’s also great for quick cleanups or refreshing your skin during the day.

Removes makeup

Buy this if you want a makeup remover, not a cleanser. I should never have bought this - I'm looking for a cleansing gel that does not dry out my skin as an older woman. First I bought the Eucerin gel which I found to be very drying - then saw this product talked up in a blog post as a miracle cleanser and bought it without really realizing it's a *water*. I want something I can put on my hands and then onto my face. That's not possible with this product since it is a water that just seeps through your hands. I went out and got cotton pads so that I could use this product by putting it on them and then wiping my face, but it just isn't what I'm looking for. I did find that it did a great job at taking off makeup and mascara. So I'll use it for that, and keep looking for a cleanser.
