Fits my bill

I really like this flashlight, especially for the price. It is very bright in "full" mode, and in "half" mode it provides adequate light to do the job and conserve battery life. The third mode is "strobe", which I never use, but I could see that would be handy to have to get someones attention. I also like the operation, which is simple and straight forward. Turn it on with one click and it goes to full mode. Turn it off with a single click, then turn it back on with a single click for half bright mode. Turn it off once again with a single click and then back on again with a single click to go to strobe mode. Some people might not like the fact that the flashlight "remembers" which mode it is in. This means that if you turn it off while in high mode, the next time you turn it on it goes to half bright mode, even if that is the following day. For me, this is not an issue. I usually cycle through the 3 modes after I am done using it so that it comes on to full mode the next time I use it. Even if I forget to do that, it doesn't bother me to cycle to the mode I want. The alternative to this is usually a flashlight with a rotating switch mechanism at the rear of the flashlight that allows you to set it to a fixed mode so that it always comes on to the mode you have that set to. From my experience, I don't like that mechanism because it is one more thing that can cause the flashlight to malfunction. I have a few NEBO flashlights with that feature and I used to like it until they malfunctioned. Another feature that is nice about this flashlight is that you can slide the top bezel forward for a tight zoom or backward for wide area span. Simple. Some people might complain that when the flashlight bezel is in the extended position for a tight zoom you get the "square LED aberration effect". I used to think that was a problem, but not anymore because I am used to it. I don't care if the beam is square instead of round, it gets the job done either way. Another thing I like about this flashlight is that it uses 3 AAA batteries which I keep on hand and buy in bulk and are inexpensive. This flashlight does not use them up like other flashlights I have owned. To me, flashlights are a kind of tool like a pair of sunglasses. I don't like to spend a lot of money on them because they can get broken, lost, or stolen easily. For these reasons, you won't see me buying a $100 flashlight (like Surefire) of $100 pair of sunglasses (like Ray Ban). I like to stay in the $20 range. This flashlight is sturdy, attractive, well designed, and for the money ... exactly fits my purposes.

Does it's job, worth it for the money.

I'll start with the most important part first. This is a fairly bright flashlight and gets the job done. It runs off of three AAA batteries and doesn't seem to drain them too fast. It fits great in your hand has pretty good grip. Now on to the rest. It looks like a single LED powers this thing. This flashlight has three settings, high, low, and fast blink. The bright light, as I said above is pretty good for this size flashlight. I would compare it's brightness to a comparably sized mag light. The low setting isn't bad either and I'm sure is a huge battery saver. The fast blink seems to use the bright setting. Turning the light on will bring you into the next setting from the one you previously used. For example, if you were using the bright setting, turned it off, and then turned it back on, you would be in the low light setting. This is very annoying for me to fumble around with the power button to get back to the setting I want. Other similar grade, better quality flashlights will always give you the same setting when you turn it on and then allow you to partially press the power button for the next setting. Also, the button is covered by what feels like a cheap plastic cap. It doesn't have a very good grip to it like a rubber one would. I don't foresee it lasting very long. The front of this light slides back and forth to manipulate bubbled lens that focuses the light. This is nit picky but I just hate bubble lenses as they always seems be correlated with low quality flashlights. The back and forth slide action is just tight enough so it's not going to go all caddywompus on you. However, it seems like there is a lot of play if you rock it back and forth.
