Love it. Water tastes better
By JB on Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2025
We love this product. Even our kids have jumped on board with using it. Our tap water can have a chemically/chlorine smell/taste especially first thing in the mornings. This takes the smell and taste away.

Critical design flaw! Warning
By Rob Noble on Reviewed in the United States on November 23, 2017
Critical design flaw. If any water is splashed or ends up on the side of the top container then this water will travel down and leak inside the lower container. This means that dirty water that you are trying to filter can get in your clean container without being filtered. Even one drop of contaminated water dripping into the clean reservoir can make you and your family sick. This is critical! Prior to purchasing, it looked as though the overhang of the top container (where the two containers connect) was designed to cause any spilled water to drip down away from the lower container. This would be what is called a drip edge. NOT SO! My experimentation resulted in any spilled water simply rolling right down the side and continuing on into the lower container. This is very bad. Yes, if the top container is disconnected from the lower, filled, and the spilled water is wiped away from the side, and then the top container is re-connected to the lower container then it should work, but why would anyone do this since the unit should start filtering and leaking water on the floor creating a mess to be cleaned up. Furthermore, the current design flaw gives rise to unaware people potentially contaminating you by accident. Suppose, a family teenager, spouse, or visitor, who has not been schooled in proper handling of this unit and its design flaw allows dirty water to leek into the system. Well in some scenarios this could even be fatal. I would argue that having inherent design flaws give rise to increased accident potential. I know in my own household that instructing people on pathogen control often falls on deaf ears. The product could be made better at the industrial production and fabrication phase by making the bottom overlapping lip of the top container longer thereby creating a drip edge. Basically this unit has no drip edge and has the potential to make you and your family very sick. Based on this design, I suspect that similar products are made like this also so I have personally decided to stay away from this and those like it. Now, the filters themselves should be ok if one wanted to make their own system out of buckets, etc. However, I found a better filter that apparently is rated for viruses and is actually cheaper. I'm returning my purchase. Hope this helps.
