Artisan Mini 3.5 Quart, Contour Silver

I bought this kitchen aid mini stand mixer one month ago and I mixed cookies, cake and bread 2x in this machine to put to the test. The cookies and cake batters worked fine but the bread dough hook was an Issue. I went to make a one loaf of bread with about 3.5 cups of flour and a bit of other things in the bowl. Mixing was going fine except when I was kneading it on med speed for several minutes I noticed at the top of the dough hook there was black specks all over the top of the flat part of the hook where it was attached. The motion was grinding the medal down. I stopped the machine and had to throw everything out in the garbage because I don't want medal dust in my bread. I cleaned that part real good and just thought well it's new so give it another chance to be broken in. I did another bread today and the same thing started to happen so I stopped the machine and finished the kneading on the counter. Hopefully someday that grinding stops! The amount of flour I used was not too much for the mini to handle so we'll see what the future holds. For the price I should have NO problems! The machine is a good size for the type of baking I do and it's not too heavy. I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of it. KITCHEN AID ANY COMMENT??????
