The SAFE version of Ivory Soap (no Titanium Dioxide added)
By Zorro on Reviewed in the United States on April 21, 2025
It is nice to have Ivory soap that does not have Titanium Dioxide in it. Granted there were a total of 24 bars, 2 x 10-packs and four loose wrapped bars of soap. The loose bars were a bit roughed up and one had a partially torn wrapper, but I can live with that know that this seller is actually selling what is shown in the listing. There are others selling Ivory soap. However, it is the version with Titanium Dioxide which is a known to have health risks (DNA damage and immune system toxicity, particulary when ingested in nanoparticle form). The European Union has banned it as a food additive and cruise ship lines warn passengers against using tanning solutions, etc. containing it as it is dangerous to marine life (which means it is also likely dangerous to human life). Hopefully, the FDA will get off the dime and ban its use here in the USA as well! We avoid products with this dangerous additive, so we were very glad to find this version of Ivory soap on Amazon. Unfortunately, it appears that the makers of Ivory soap (newer versions perhaps) have seen fit to replace more friendly ingredients with Titanium Dioxide to probably use as a whitener, despite its hazardous status as an additive to humans and other living organisms.

So strong I had to put it outside. Damn near put me into cardiac arrest and respatory failure. I mean if you like showering with drain cleaner.
