RENPHO Bluetooth Body Fat Smart Scale

Did I just get a lemon?! This could be the most inaccurate scale I’ve ever used. I was going to give it 1-2 stars, but I am hoping mine is just defective. Let me explain, because I assure you that this is not just me being salty about my weight not dropping fast enough or something. This is a different situation completely. First let’s talk about the features & PROS: • It was super affordable • I love the features for weight and BMI • I was able to connect it quickly to my iPhone using Bluetooth. • I am able to use the app with Noom Meds & connected the two apps as well, so Noom adds the weight into the app {with an occasionally odd differentiation of .1-.4+- in the transfer of amount}. • You can set up sound effects to be on or off, and I set mine to only give me a goofy little cheer when I have lost weight. Lol! It’s a cute boost & motivational tool for my progress. BIG CONS: • However…when I have weighed and then realized I forgot to open the app, stepped off the scale and then immediately step back on, the weight difference in mere seconds will be as much as a pound or more…?! This is NOT ACCEPTABLE when I’m killing it every day to lose weight. Let me also make sure the other people reading this review understand. I’m not saying I am not prepared for “up & down days in weight fluctuations”. This isn’t my first weight loss rodeo! I am saying I step on the scale, and it says {for example} “199.6”. I step off to grab my phone to open the app for it to sync and immediately step back on. Then it will say “202.4” or something ridiculous. I haven’t moved the scale; I am not dressed; I’m not wearing my watch or holding my phone. In addition, I always put my feet on the sensors exactly the same way every time to keep things consistent. NOPE! It still bounces and changes. It is so completely inaccurate that I am at a loss! It has ONE JOB…to give us accurate results. This happens daily! It is very sabotaging to my mental progress…especially when I have to weigh daily and every +-.01 in weight loss counts. As I stated, I know when to expect normal fluctuations based on fluid retention, too much sodium, etc. THIS is NOT THAT! If I could return it, I would. The scale I received could definitely be a “one off”, and I hate to ever give a bad review in that situation, but I’m disheartened to be stuck with a defective piece of equipment that I needed to be able to trust 100%. I was depending on this scale’s reliability to help guide me on my weight loss journey, and it has failed miserably.
