These are such a pleasure to clean, I don’t put them into dishwasher.

I’ve used the Gotham Steel frying pans for some time and really like them. Finally I persuaded myself to replace my 35 year old, student style sauce pans, and was determined to get a set of Gotham Steel saucepans. Well it was a trial. I already had a large and two small frying pans, and a square deep pan/deep fry pan. So, I didn’t need any more frying pans. I searched everywhere for JUST saucepans. I could get the biggest pasta pans individually, and maybe the 3quart pan. But not the small ones. And individually, even these few were super expensive. So I finally found this set, which included three small/medium saucepans, one larger one AND TWO MORE FRYING PANS! I really do enjoy hand washing these, even when they are used for crisping food, they just wipe clean. I boiled some ribs then added sticky sauce and put it in oven.... and it was so easy to clean, even though it looked such a burnt on mess Be aware that the saucepan lid handles are HOT, you’ll need gloves to lift the lid. But, because the handles are metal, it can all go in the oven. Apart from including a way to buy simply small saucepans, my second request would be cool yet oven proof handles,

I bought my first Gotham Steel pan at CVS some time ago and I thought it was fantastic. That particular pan did not let me down and I do still use it to this day. However, I purchased the set not too long ago and I have had a terrible experience with this set. My first experience was with one of the pots after looking at it closely I could see the gold layer was flaking off. I talked Gotham and they responded by saying I needed to send them the pot with a check to cover shipping and handling for another one. I checked out all of my pans and pots today to check for flaking because I heard it could be terrible for me to eat it on accident if it gets in the food. About half of my pots and pans from them are flaking and at this point I figure I will pitch them all and start over. It is not worth sending them the money for shipping and handling as well as paying for shipment on the pots and pans to get them there. That would cost more than the set originally cost. If you do purchase please hang on to your packaging and Amazon may help you out, since I pitched my box in the trash they said I had to contact the seller. All said and done I have to admit I still have my original pan I purchased probably a year ago from CVS and it has not flaked at all and works perfect. Maybe my new set was a defective batch but not worth all the costs associated with shipping and handling to fix product.
