Gillette Proshield Chill Men’s Razor + 2 Refills

I needed refills for my proglide battery-powered shaver and read that all of the proglide cartridges fit all of the handles, so I thought I'd try this. I used the head with a battery-powered handle which are really awesome and worth getting, but I tried it turned off as well. First I tested the blade quickly before I ever wet my face just to give it the harshest conditions. Dry-shaving is not recommended but it did work. Then I used just hot water and soap and shaved with it and it worked great. It's even better with shaving cream of course, but I wanted to test it. I recommend these blades. They're very smooth and give a nice effortless shave even with a few days growth. The cool factor was also something I was interested in. I wasn't sure how this was going to work since warmth seems to help when shaving. But I used fairly hot water and I didn't feel any cool effect until I was finished shaving and had dried my face. It's more like an aftershave effect I guess. I do feel it now. If you've used the Gillette blue shaving gel it feels like that with that kind of minty brisk feel. So I'm happy with it. They make lots of interchangeable cartridges and I might try a different one next time but this was a good value. I basically bought this package as two shaving heads and an extra handle.
