Comfortable and Did Not Leak
By By On By on Reviewed in the United States on August 18, 2018
At the time that I purchased these sleeping pads there were not yet any reviews for this product, so I was a little hesitant. I decided to try them anyway, and was not disappointed. I purchased two of these, and both held up well. I first inflated them at home, prior to my trip, to test them. Both were easy to inflate and stayed inflated for the 2 days that I tested them for, without leaking or having to be refilled. Then they performed just as well on my 3-day camping trip. These will self-inflate most of the way by themselves, if you open the valve and unroll the mat and wait for 5 or 10 minutes. If you're patient enough to wait for that then you'll only have to add 5 or so breaths yourself. Or, if you don't want to wait, then you can just inflate it yourself as soon as you unroll it - in which case it takes about 20 breaths to fill it up. The mats were comfortable - they kept us off the ground, didn't deflate, and we didn't slide around too much. I stayed camping one night longer than my camping companion, and the last night I tried putting both mats on top of each other. That didn't work particularly well - it felt like sleeping on a pool float - so I wouldn't recommend it. They're a little tough to roll back up - you really have to lean on them to squish all the air out as you roll them, and it's pretty tough to get the elastic loops back around them. I don't think I'd ever be able to roll them up flat enough to get them back into the cardboard boxes that they came in, but they squash down to an easily storable size. My guess is that the elastic loops won't last for too many camping trips - they'll probably rip eventually, from a combination of being stretched so much and from eventual degradation of the elastic - so I am going to find some long shoe laces or cheap web belts or something, to keep with these, for future camping trips.

Good but self inflate seems wonky
By Rachel Brown on Reviewed in the United States on December 12, 2019
It’s pretty comfortable and kept me off the ground but it didn’t seem to self inflate very well. I waited more than 5 minutes and found I had to blow into it way more than twice. I also wish that it packed down smaller. Not that big of an issue since I wasn’t planning on backpacking with it but still, it took up a little more room in my car than I was expecting.
