Awesome when your AC dies in SWFL

We got this after barrowing one after Irma came through SW FL. New Years Day 2019 our AC died, although not the hottest day down here still humid and my house radiates heat. My Daughter and I set this up at midnight taking only about a 1/2 hour to set up (READ the INSTRUCTIONS to save time). Some people may think it is loud but that is only when the compressor kicks in hard to cool the room, after that you get used to the noise. My only complaints are the hose, and the connections. The one to the unit pops off and we needed to use tape to secure it, after that the one that connects to the window vent thing did the same thing so more tape. After using it for two days in Florida made it money well spent. I will update if need be. I didn't write this review until we had used it at least one day, we got two lucky us. It did cool a 900 sq ft. room pretty quickly and kept it nice and cold. But this was in the winter will try it out in the summer before we get hit again, with real temps and humidity.

Not taking a third chance

We bought this unit being very excited for the 14000 btus since before we only had 8000 btus. We waited a couple of weeks to use it because the month of May was very rainy this past spring. When we finally got into 90 degree weather we were more than thrilled to put it on. After a few hours we noticed a pool of water around the unit. We inspected the unit underneath and there were a huge crack. It leaked everywhere and ruined my hardwood floors. The company we bought it from responded to our emails promptly and after a few exchange of photos we got a new unit. Well, this one sucks too. The front of the unit came to us popped off and when we tried to pop it in ourselves we noticed two of the clasps inside the unit were broken. We are more then frustrated with this process and are asking for a full refund.
