A skincare staple

One of my all time favorite products for skin hydration. The ordinary’s products are always a great value for the money spent. Goes on smoothly and soaks in quickly. Leaves skin super soft. Will stain white clothes. A must have in my skin care routine!!

Smell is fishy enough to put me off of continuing to use it
By j32flavors on Reviewed in the United States on March 29, 2025
I started a new gua sha routine and read that roeship oil was a good non-pore clogging option to create the “slip” needed for gua sha. I saw the different reviews here on Amazon regarding the oil’s scent, and figured I try it anyway. I used it 4 times for my gua sha routine. The oil isn’t too oily, and it absorbed pretty quickly. The smell is a weird sort of fatty/fishiness apparently from the high level of omega fatty nature of it. It’s very off-putting to me, and the smell is strong enough and lingered long enough that I had to wash it off immediately. Worse: I had cute press-on nails on and the oil sort of penetrated the underside of the nails and I couldn’t get rid of the smell from my hands. I had to remove the nails to fully get rid of the smell. Re skin results: hard to determine for me; I felt there was some strange texture and minimal redness to my normally decently smooth for a few days, but I don’t know if it was the oil itself or some other combo of things I did, like using a red led face light right after the gua sha. I stopped using the oil and mask for a couple of days and my skin is back to baseline. I’m going to try the Herbivore brand of rosehip-heavy oil with the hope that the smell is better and also to see if I get consistent better results.
