Crane Top Fill Mini Humidifier

I bought the 1.2 gallon humidifier and was instantly very happy with the look of it. There are a lot of things I like about it: physical appearance, multiple light color options, including white (not always the case with all humidifiers) intensity of the stream of steam coming out the top, top loading, it’s very quiet, the price was amazing, especially for a larger humidifier. Everything seemed great. In fact, I wanted very badly to buy two more so that all my humidifiers match each other and look nice. However, I’ve been using this humidifier for about a week and now the screen flashes 80% and the machine refuses to kick out any more steam. SUPER frustrating. The manual was a little to no help and based on other reviews I’m very apprehensive about contacting customer service. Has anyone successfully figured the way around this issue? Can you get around the % humidity feature and just have it run consistently? Because that’s what I want, maximum steam, and running constant. I haven’t given up yet, I really want to use it and I really want to buy sister products but obviously it’s no good to me if it doesn’t work :( Update: I tried everything & it simply doesn’t work. Sucks.
