Sleek and quick!

So I'm sure If you're interested in this product you've probably noticed by now that its a chromebook. The real question is, does anyone really need a $500 or more chromebook? Well the short answer to that is no. But It's more complicated then that for most people, I'll explain more at the end. The first thing I thought when I opened the box was that it was a pretty stunning chromebook. It looks sleek, as you can see from the photos up by the price. When you are sitting in the coffee shop and decide to pull out your device to do some browsing, people will know you are using a premium device. If that matters to you then you have it here. The thing doesn't look cheap and that's a good thing. Okay, so the thing looks good. But how about it's functionality? Does it actually live up to how it looks performance wise? Well yes and no. It depends on what you are getting this device for. I think about 95% of people will be totally happy with it's performance. For browsing the web, checking emails, using google doc's, etc. It performs exceptionally well and I haven't noticed any slow down whatsoever. On the flip side, you have android apps and this is where performance can take a hit. It can run most android apps decently and some great even. Just don't be expecting to play the most demanding games at the highest settings or anything. With these limitations in mind, you should know whether or not its for you. Just some final things that deserved to be mentioned. The detachable keyboard THAT COMES WITH THE DEVICE(how awesome is that?) is actually really great. It feels tactile and has a good travel distance, It just feels good. Sadly the keyboard is not backlit which isn't a huge deal to me but may be to some. The speakers are okay, nothing special. I'd say there slightly above average, they'll get the job done and you'll be content but they aren't gonna blow you away. Next the screen. The screen is one of may favorite aspects on this device. Colors pack a punch, the resolution is really sharp and it can get pretty bright. The screen is awesome and every time I open the device my eyes just light up with how great it all looks. Text is easy to read and really no detail is left out. FINALLY, thanks for sticking with me this long those of you who have. Some simple stuff to also note. The device has a headphone jack, 2 USB C ports on each side of the device as well as a power button and volume button. When it comes down to it, I think spending $500 for this chromebook is absolutely worth it. It's fast, looks and feels premium(which matters to a lot of people, myself included), has good battery life and is just one of the better chromebooks out there. Definitely the best value for your money if you can afford it. I almost got the pixelbook hearing it's the best of the chromebooks but I found this and I gotta tell you guys, I don't feel like I settled and you wont either.

Great device, fast delivery! Service problems!
By gape on Reviewed in the United States on April 29, 2019
Altough a bit pricy a great device. Works smooth. Very nice looking touchscreen. Android Play Store is preinstalled and several apps work fine. Didn't try Linux apps, but community says that works too. Delivered very fast from california to austria within 7 days. And the transport was over germany over easter weekend, when in germany is public holiday on easter friday and monday!!! Can't find out if there is a screen protection which works with the pen. [edit] The tip of the active pen broke now. Normally no problem, just replace it with one of the enclosed tips. But I can't open the pen because the thread is stuck. Same thing for the other end of the pen to replace the battery. Amazon directs me to HP! HP(US) wanted to replace the pen, but only is responsible for US and Canada. HP(UK) isn't interested. HP (continental europe) would really like to help, but isn't able to because HP (europe) itself can't organize the HP product due it's only sold in US and UK!?! WTF?!? [/edit]
