UPDATE REVIEW

REVIEW UPDATE!! Bald Eagle reached out immediately regarding my dissatisfaction, a refund was given and a new humidor. We now realize that our first order, we were sent a faulty unit, it was immediately obvious that this new unit had a very tight seal and closed tighter than the first unit that was sent. It is working perfectly, and the hygrometer is working perfect, something that is rare on a humidor. We purchased a digital hygrometer so we could compare the unit's hygrometer with the digital and Wow!! the unit's hygrometer is less than 1% different from the digital, I am really impressed. Our initial order resulted in a faulty unit, which lead to my review, but Bald Eagle fixed everything immediately!!! and now, well we will be buying again, not only is it a BEAUTIFUL unit, but it works great. A bad unit slipped through, but they fixed it so fast.... Thank you!! The craftsmanship is stunning and that was why we were drawn to the product! The hygrometer did not work in this unit, we purchased a digital to be sure. Completely faulty. The seal of this unit was not tight at all, the lid closed but you could see the gap, and therefore leaked, no matter what we tried the humidity never reached above 50%, proper seasoning, the unit's hygrometer, a reputable digital hygrometer, added the Boveda packs to give it a boost, and absolutely nothing. Then to add to our already disappointment, I requested a return with a refund, what's the point in getting a second unit, well guess what a second unit showed up. We are using our cheap humidor and it is working far better than this unit even came close too. Truly a disappointment.

Wont hold humidity and ruined cigars.

Unfortunately the box did not work out because the humidor wouldn't hold humidity at all. I did as the company instructed and seasoned the box properly. Slowly added cigars but no matter what i did the humidity level continued to drop. I began to be concerned that the box would ruin my cigars so i took them out, re-seasoned, and tried something different. At first i thought maybe the built in hydrometer was broken so i spent more money to buy a digital one to place in the box. When it became clear that the built in hydrometer was fine (maybe of a couple percent off) i spent more money on Boveda humidity packs thinking the humidifier that came with box wasn't working. At its height i had 3 full sized 69% packs in the humidor and still the humidity slowly dwindled down to 61,60,59. I tried putting it in different places in my house with no luck. I even set up my Honeywell room humidifier right next to it and it still lost humidity. Finally i went on vacation for 2 weeks to come back to my cigars ruined. The ceder once again sucked out all the moister from my sticks and caused small cracks throughout all of them but two. The box is pretty and isn't useless. It has a use indeed. To destroy your valuable cigar collection. Please do not buy and don't buy one on amazon, do some research and spend alittle extra cash and buy something that works.
